Vole Genomes Published in Cell Genomics
The first mammalian assemblies built with CiFi are now published in Cell Genomics. Combining PacBio HiFi and CiFi in a single library, the study delivers haplotype-resolved, chromosome-scale diploid genomes for prairie and meadow voles — anchoring over 600 Mbp of previously unplaced sequence, recovering the missing Y chromosome, and resolving the prairie-vole-specific Avpr1a duplication implicated in pair bonding. Browse the assemblies, annotations, and data on the companion resource site.
